What You Missed at the Last Meeting

It was jam packed and humorous evening with a total six (6) speech and a reserve speaker to boot, we had a large turnout of visitors and hope to see them again and more excitingly as members. Our theme of the meeting was “Networking” and Jennifer was a toastmaster for the evening and a first for her, great job Jen.

Elizabeth was first up and she did a speech she had previously done, with a twist this time around, by conducting an actual webinar which was very innovative. I surely learnt a few new tip and tricks about conducting a webinar.

Then it was Miguel’s turn, he showed us a bit if his improvisation acting skills, with the help of Yanga, above and beyond giving his speech. Am sure he had us wanting a glass of wine. Members and visitors had an opportunity to give feedback to Miguel which was very beneficial to him. Our musical maestro Rutendo was up next, save for having us in stitches she gave us an inspiring speech and found a creative and engaging manner in which to put across the message, we thoroughly enjoyed it.

Tapiwa addressed and issue that we all deal with from time to time, struggling to sleep. This was pretty informative speech and here’s to no more counting sheep and more Sweet Dreams. Jerry, our future motivational speaker and gave us yet an inspiration speech as usual. Our last but not least speaker for the evening Liezl, highlighted the importance of being content with who you are in order to develop a healthy lifestyle. I could not highlight the importance of this any better.

Our table topic master for the evening Muwanwa added a twist to the evening’s table topic, this time around she selected the speakers, and our guest got a chance to test their public speaking skills.

Our winners for the evening were tied for best table topic speaker, Ntsako, Jennifer & Gina. The best evaluator went to Jason and out best speaker went to Rutendo. Well done to all our winners.

We hope this have sparked your curiosity and we hope to see you at our next meeting.
