Our third September meeting saw us going down memory lane with Tess Gadd, our toastmaster of the evening, sharing all what the audience wanted to be when they were younger. The meeting was themed “When I grow up I want to be…”
The word of the day was “Burgeon” which means begin to grow or increase rapidly; flourish. As expected our speakers did “talk up” to the word.
The winners were:
BEST SPEAKER: Tiaan Smit
BEST TABLE TOPICS SPEAKER: Garth Andrews
BEST EVALUATOR: Yanga Gceya
Congratulations to Miguel Da Costa for his completion of the Competent Communication manual!
Congratulations also to Vuyo Ndzube for doing her first speech on the Competent Communication manual!
