Last Thursday, the theme of our meeting was A Pregnant Pause. What is a pregnant pause exactly? It’s a public speaking tool which is a pause or silence full of meaning. The intent is to increase the significance of the message delivered following the pause.

We had TWO icebreakers, which are first time speakers embarking on their Pathways journey with Toastmasters. Congratulations, Sarah Jane and Sipho for fantastic first speeches!

Cynthia and Rutendo recapped on their heroic journey to Johannesburg for the District contest where they proudly represented E&Y Toastmasters, our Area, and Division.

Yumna led the evening’s Table Topics with her bag of quirky, wonderful props that only our Yumi-corn would possess. 🦄

We’re proud of all of our speakers! A special congrats to Best Speaker (an Icebreaker) Sipho, Best Table Topics Michelle, and Best Evaluators Cynthia and Liezl.

See you next Tuesday, June 4th for our next meeting!
